This book's story tells how I was transformed from a nervous widow into a confident traveller. I was able to travel around the world, meeting people who I never would have expected to meet, and seeing places that I would always remember.
I was overwhelmed by the kindness shown to me by friends and strangers I met whilst on my solo journey. It gave me faith in the human race.
One day at a time
Brigid’s life was wrapped comfortably in her early childhood in her home in rural Eire. She had close teenage friendships in the Anglo-Irish community of South London and enjoyed her mid-life sporting passion of golf with her husband.
